If you’re an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income, Teachable is the platform for you.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms had. He decided to create his online learning platform with features that he envisioned his courses and students could enjoy.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

  • 5% transaction fees
  • There is a 5% transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being the most confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out. Comparable to a duck testing the waters first.

You don’t have to worry about marketing. All you’ve got to worry about is creating the content you want to sell since Teachable has built-in features to take care of taxes, payouts, affiliates, and writers.
