Good Life Express Teachable

teachable-review

Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, decided to create his online learning platform with features that he envisioned his courses and students could like after getting frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms had.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

In A Nutshell Good Life Express Teachable

Teachable allows one to create and sell online courses and coaching with videos, quizzes, and lectures. It’s a straightforward and intuitive interface that makes it an outstanding platform for complete beginners. You don’t need to have a virtual assistant or group member to do it because it already deals with your sales tracking, payment collections, and affiliates commissions. Alternatively, you can concentrate more on course building.

Who Uses Teachable?

We can not deny that online learning is a quick and booming industry. And we want to take a slice out of the ever-growing demand.

It’s ideal for entrepreneurs, creators, and small business owners who want to create online courses to a potentially profitable business. Individuals like Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income use Teachable to sell their courses to students.

You also have enterprises like The New York Times, Shopify, and Penn Law.

As of this moment, more than 100,000 founders sold over $1 billion in classes and coaching for students all over the world.

Here are some of the features I enjoyed in Teachable:

Ease of Use

Teachable’s best feature is being less of a tech hassle and more of being your partner-in-arms to a company.

As mentioned previously, Teachable prides itself on its simplicity of use. Tech beginners will find it easy to go around and operate the course.

When you register on the site, it leads you to the dashboard. There you may see headers such as users, websites, sales, emails, and courses. It is pretty straightforward. It is a lot easier for the user to upload documents, review analytics, issue refunds, and communicate with students.

Customization

Teachable’s list of partners is pretty extensive making it possible to incorporate as many tools as you want. You’ll also realize that you can easily create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages with their power editor.

Users can select to make an attractive landing page with Teachable’s large choice of topics for your online course site. All you’ve got to do is upload the logos, text, images and choose color schemes to fit your business’ branding.

You have the choice of inserting custom CSS or HTML to the Code Snippets Area if you’re an advanced user.

Marketing, Student Tracking Tools, and Analytics Capabilities

It has all of the necessary and essential sales tracking and analytics tools that you’d need while attempting to analyze your course sales. You can see how well your classes have performed in specific phases.

For higher plans, you get access to advanced sales features like one-click upsells and packages. With this, you can provide your pupils discounts should they decide to obtain another course. It is a fantastic way of increasing conversions.

When it comes to student monitoring, you can check student registration and engagement. You will receive reports on how your students interact with your courses, their completion rates, and in which the students get stuck.

You do not need to worry about monitoring student and sales insights with their comprehensive dashboards. Teachable deals with technology and promotion for you.

Completion Certificates

You would need a Pro or Business Plan to access this feature. The class will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Teachable will automatically insert your school name, student’s name, and name of the course. You may change elements of your certificate such as logo, colour scheme, and preset pictures. But, you may also create one yourself using the block editor (rich text and Liquid/HTML blocks).

Payment Options

You don’t have to find a 3rd party for payment processing as Teachable comes with its own refundable payment processing via Teachable Payments.

You can choose your payment currency from a wide range of choices. You can even create coupons and discount codes for students and affiliate codes. Teachable will manage affiliate payouts automatically.

Teachable has options like Stripe and PayPal and advanced payment options like Visa and Mastercard.

You have the choice of charging your courses as one-time purchases, monthly payments, or as a subscription which your pupils can pay by credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Customer Support

The support is responsive. It has an extensive knowledge library with online lessons and lives webinars for common questions you might ask as you begin creating your first class. Butif you have any additional questions, you can create a ticket. Usually, you’ll hear back from support within one day. Professional Teachable customers have access to live chat service.

Now that I have talked about what I liked about Teachable, here are a few things I do not like:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable doesn’t have a totally free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5 percent transaction fees
  • There’s a 5% transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There is no phone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being very confused about the crowd. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. Akin to a duck testing the waters , It does take some time to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach how you want to learn by using customization tools to personalize your content. Good Life Express Teachable

You don’t need to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to look after taxes, payouts, affiliates, and authors. So all you have to worry about is making the content you want to sell.

To Sum It Up

For complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to concentrate more on course creation than the business’s technology and marketing aspect, Teachable is an approachable platform.

You can create your online course on any subject you love, and Teachable helps you turn that into a company. Why not start today?
