If you’re an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income, Teachable is the platform for you.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, decided to create his online learning platform with features he envisioned his classes and students could enjoy after getting frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms needed.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some things I don’t like about Teachable now that I’ve talked about what I enjoyed about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable does not have a totally free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There is a 5 percent transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone service.
  • There’s no telephone number to contact for queries.

Why should you attempt it?

I am not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being the most confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it fairly easy. It does take some time to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out. Comparable to a duck testing the waters .

You can teach the way you would like to learn by utilizing customization tools to personalize your content. High Teachable Index

You don’t have to worry about marketing. All you have to worry about is creating the content that you wish to sell since Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.

To Sum It Up

Teachable is an approachable platform for complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to concentrate more on course production than the business’s tech and marketing aspect.

You can create your online course on any topic you love, and Teachable helps you turn that into a business. Why not start now?
