Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator searching for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, decided to create his online learning platform with features that he envisioned his classes and students could enjoy after getting frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms had.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for approximately $250M.

Completion Certificates

To get this feature, you would need a Pro or Business Plan. The class will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Teachable will automatically insert your school name, student’s name, and name of the course. You may change aspects of your certificate like logo, color scheme, and preset pictures. Now that I’ve talked about what I enjoyed about Teachable, here are some things I do not like:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable does not have a free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There is a 5 percent transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone service.
  • There’s no telephone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I am not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being the most confused about the crowd. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. Comparable to a duck testing the waters first, It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach how you want to learn by utilizing customization tools to personalize your content. Images For Teachable

You don’t have to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to take care of payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers. So all you have to worry about is creating the content that you wish to sell.

To Sum It Up

Teachable is an approachable platform for complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who wish to focus more on course production than the business’s technology and marketing aspect.

Teachable helps you turn the online courses you can create on any topic you love into a company. Why not start now?
