If you are an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income, Teachable is the platform for you.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms had. He decided to create his online learning platform with characteristics he envisioned his courses and students would like.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart obtained Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some things I don’t like about Teachable now that I have talked about what I enjoyed about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable does not have a totally free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5 percent transaction fees
  • There’s a 5% transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There’s no phone number to contact for queries.

Why should you attempt it?

I am not the most tech-savvy person out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being very confused about the crowd. But with Teachable, I found it fairly easy. Comparable to a duck testing the waters , It does take some time to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach how you would like to know by using customization tools to personalize your content. Is Initiative A Teachable Skill

You don’t have to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to take care of taxes, payouts, affiliates, and writers. So all you have to worry about is making the content that you wish to sell.
