Teachable is the platform for you if you are an entrepreneur or content creator searching for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, decided to create his online learning platform with characteristics he envisioned his classes and students would enjoy after getting frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms had.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for approximately $250M.

Here are some things I do not like about Teachable now that I have talked about what I enjoyed about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable doesn’t have a free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There’s a 5% transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There’s no telephone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being the most confused about the crowd. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably simple. Comparable to a duck testing the waters first, It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach the way you would like to learn by utilizing customization tools to personalize your content. J Bravo Teachable

You don’t need to worry about marketing. All you have to worry about is making the content you wish to sell since Teachable has built-in features to take care of payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.
