If you are an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income, Teachable is the platform for you.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms needed. He decided to create his online learning platform with characteristics that he envisioned his courses and students could like.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart obtained Teachable for approximately $250M.

Here are a few things I don’t like about Teachable now that I’ve talked about what I liked about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable doesn’t have a free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5 percent transaction fees
  • There’s a 5 percent transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone service.
  • There’s no phone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being the most confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it fairly simple. Comparable to a duck testing the waters , It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach the way you want to learn by using customization tools to personalize your content. Mckinzie Teachable

You don’t need to worry about marketing. All you’ve got to worry about is creating the content you want to sell since Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.
