teachable-review

Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms needed. He decided to create his own online learning platform with features he envisioned his classes and students would like.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for approximately $250M.

Here are some of the features I liked in Teachable:

Ease of Use

Teachable’s best feature is being less of a technician headache and more of being your partner-in-arms to a company.

As mentioned earlier, Teachable prides itself on its ease of use. Going around and operating the program will be found easy by tech novices.

The dashboard is the first thing a user would see after registering on the website. There you may see headers like users, sites, sales, emails, and classes. It is pretty straightforward. Uploading files, reviewing analytics, issuing refunds, and communication with students becomes a lot easier for the user.

Customization

It is possible to incorporate as many tools as you need as Teachable’s list of partners is pretty extensive. You will also realize that it is easy to create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages with their power editor.

Here are some things I do not like about Teachable now that I have talked about what I liked about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable doesn’t have a totally free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There’s a 5 percent transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There is no telephone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I am not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being very confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it fairly easy. It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out. Akin to a duck testing the waters first.

You can teach how you would like to know by using customization tools to personalize your content. Meet Kevin Teachable

You don’t need to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and authors. So all you have to worry about is making the content that you want to sell.

To Sum It Up

Teachable is an approachable platform for complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to concentrate more on course production than the business’s technology and marketing aspect.
