Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator searching for a way to transform knowledge into income.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms had. So, he decided to create his online learning platform with features he envisioned his classes and students could enjoy.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart obtained Teachable for approximately $250M.

Here are some things I do not like about Teachable now that I’ve talked about what I enjoyed about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable doesn’t have a free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5 percent transaction fees
  • There’s a 5% transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There is no telephone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I am not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being the most confused about the crowd. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. It does take a while to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out. Comparable to a duck testing the waters first.

You can teach the way you want to learn by using customization tools to personalize your content. Teachable Course Journaling

You don’t need to think about marketing. All you’ve got to worry about is creating the content that you wish to sell since Teachable has built-in features to take care of taxes, payouts, affiliates, and writers.

To Sum It Up

Teachable is an approachable platform for complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to concentrate more on course production than the business’s technology and marketing aspect.

Teachable helps you turn the online courses you may make on any topic you love into a company. Why not start now?
