teachable-review

Teachable is the platform for you if you are an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms needed. So, he decided to create his own online learning platform with features that he envisioned his courses and students would like.

In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for approximately $250M.

Here are some things I don’t like about Teachable now that I’ve talked about what I liked about it:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable does not have a totally free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There is a 5% transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone service.
  • There is no phone number to contact for inquiries.

Why should you attempt it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being very confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. Comparable to a duck testing the waters first, It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out.

You don’t have to think about marketing. All you have to worry about is making the content you want to sell since Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.
