If you are an entrepreneur or content creator searching for a way to transform knowledge into earnings, Teachable is the platform for you.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms needed. He decided to create his own online learning platform with characteristics he envisioned his classes and students could like.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some of the features I liked in Teachable:

Ease of Use

Teachable’s best feature is being less of a technician hassle and more of being your partner-in-arms to a company.

As stated earlier, Teachable prides itself on its simplicity of use. Tech beginners will find it easy to go around and operate the course.

The dashboard is the first thing a user would see after registering on the site. There you will see headers such as users, websites, sales, emails, and courses. It is pretty straightforward. It is a lot easier for the user to upload documents, review analytics, issue refunds, and communicate with students.

You can integrate as many tools as you want as Teachable’s list of partners is fairly extensive. You’ll also find that it is easy to create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages with their power editor.

  • Teachable doesn’t have a free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5% transaction fees
  • There’s a 5 percent transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone support.
  • There is no phone number to contact for queries.

Why should you try it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy person out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being the most confused about the bunch. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. Akin to a duck testing the waters first, It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out.

You can teach how you want to know by utilizing customization tools to personalize your content. Teachable Vr Studio

You don’t have to think about marketing. All you have to worry about is creating the content that you wish to sell since Teachable has built-in features to take care of payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.
