The Travel Coach Program Teachable

teachable-review

Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.

Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms needed. He decided to create his own online learning platform with characteristics that he envisioned his courses and students would enjoy.

In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some of the features I enjoyed in Teachable:

Ease of Use

Teachable’s best feature is being less of a technician headache and more of being your partner-in-arms to a company.

As mentioned earlier, Teachable prides itself on its simplicity of use. Going around and operating the course will be found easy by tech novices.

When you register on the website, it leads you to the dashboard. There you will see headers such as users, sites, sales, emails, and courses. It’s pretty straightforward. Uploading files, reviewing analytics, issuing refunds, and communicating with students becomes easier for the user.

Customization

It is possible to incorporate as many tools as you want as Teachable’s list of partners is fairly extensive. You’ll also realize that it is easy to create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages using their power editor.

Teachable offers a large choice of topics for your online course site that you can select to make an appealing landing page. All you have to do is upload the logos, text, images and select color schemes to fit your business’ branding.

If you’re an advanced user, you have the choice of inserting custom CSS or HTML into the Code Snippets Area.

Marketing, Student Tracking Tools, and Analytics Capabilities

When you’re attempting to analyze your path sales, Teachables has all of the necessary and essential sales tracking and analytics tools that you’d need. You can see how well your classes have performed in specific periods.

You can provide your pupils discounts should they choose to obtain another course when you get access to advanced sales features like one-click upsells and bundles from availing higher plans. It’s a good means of increasing conversions.

You can check student enrollment and engagement in regards to student tracking. You will receive reports on how your students interact with your courses, their completion rates, and in which the students get stuck.

You do not need to worry about tracking student and sales insights with their comprehensive dashboards. Teachable deals with technology and promotion for you.

Completion Certificates

You’d need a Pro or Business Plan to access this feature. The course will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Teachable will automatically insert your school name, student’s name, and title of the course. You may change aspects of your certificate such as logo, color scheme, and preset pictures. But, you may also create one yourself using the block editor (rich text and Liquid/HTML blocks).

You do not need to find a 3rd party for payment processing as Teachable comes with its own refundable payment processing via Teachable Payments.

You can select your payment money from a broad range of choices. You can even generate coupons and discount codes for students and affiliate codes. Teachable will handle affiliate payouts automatically.

Teachable has options like Stripe and PayPal and advanced payment options like Visa and Mastercard.

Now that I’ve talked about what I liked about Teachable, here are a few things I do not like:

  • No free plans.
  • Teachable does not have a free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
  • 5 percent transaction fees
  • There’s a 5 percent transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.
  • No phone service.
  • There is no phone number to contact for queries.

Why should you attempt it?

I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being very confused about the crowd. But with Teachable, I found it fairly easy. It does take some time to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out. Akin to a duck testing the waters first.

You can teach the way you would like to learn by using customization tools to personalize your content. The Travel Coach Program Teachable

You don’t need to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to take care of payouts, taxes, affiliates, and authors. So all you have to worry about is making the content that you want to sell.

To Sum It Up

For complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to concentrate more on course creation than the business’s tech and marketing aspect, Teachable is an approachable platform.

Teachable helps you turn the online courses you can create on any subject you love into a business. Why not start today?
